WWDJ Hackensack now WTTT

ALL ACCESS reports that Salem's WWDJ 970 Hackensack has changed call letters to WTTT and is testing its new 50kW facility. The calls were swapped with a Salem station in Boston.

Rumors swirl about a format change there...

WTTT is a temporary callsign. WNYM will be the actual call harkening back to Salem's original entry into New York with WNYM on Staten Island, the old WPOW.
The format will be the conservative talk line up offered by Salem Radio and other syndiactors featuring Dennis Prager, Bill Bennet, Dr. Laura, et al. Basically, it's what they did with WNTP in Philly.
The 50 Kw. transmitter has been under test for quite some time, prior to the call letter change. Progran test authority was gratend on June 25.
WTTT....lousy call letters. WNYM? Let's see..We have WNYC, WNYU, WNYE,WNYG...Original,huh?
There is NO reason why Salem could not have kept the WWDJ calls except that they are a memory only to some of us and a wasted on a talk station.
The station will be kow as "The Apple" 970.

Maybe Boston or somewhere else will be getting a music format where WWDJ would make more sense?
