Convicted sex offender DOUG LANE will sell his three SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE market stations to the BOLD GOLD MEDIA GROUP. The deal involved negotiations with LACKAWANNA District Attorney ANDY JARBOLA, who told INSIDE RADIO, “There was a real possibility that they (the stations) could have been acquired by a non-local company or gone silent,” due to the fact that LANE could have been stripped of his FCC licenses following his conviction.
BOLD GOLD, which recently announced plans to acquire Hot AC WDNH/HONESDALE, PA, Oldies WYCY/HAWLEY, PA, News WDNB/JEFFERSONVILLE, NY, and Oldies WPSN-A/HONESDALE, PA from the DEWITT MEDIA GROUP, will now add LANE’S AC WWDL/SCRANTON, and Oldies simulcast partners WICK-A/SCRANTON and WYCK-A/PLAINS, PA to its growing NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA cluster.
