WWE Homecoming/RAW on USA was Awesome

I watch the entire thing.

It was clearly the best episode of RAW that the WWE has ever produced.

From start to finish it was both exicting and gripping at the same time.

From Mick Foley on Piper's Pit,

To Randy Orton RKOing both Piper & Foley,

To the 30 minute IRON MAN MATCH that ended in a draw (WHO SAW THAT COMING)

To the long, but clearly planned Austin stunning the entire McMahon family,

To the Loser leave Raw match where you knew Edge was going to pull that

out.

To Triple H turning heel on Ric Flair (IT WAS BRILLANT)

To Hulk Hogan laying the challenge to Stone Cold Steve Austin.

To the Raw vs. Smackdown feud that carried at the end.

All and all a great way for the WWE to return to USA.

I'd rather watch paint dry.

A great show...until the "WWE Smackdown!" match got wiped out by Eric Bischoff. (Obviously done since the show was already running long.) I just hope that the show gets nothing less than a 4.0 cable rating. Anything under that would spell disaster for WWE and USA.

You have the right to your opinion. However, it was MUCH better than the throwaway show on Spike TV last week.

Great, yes. Best ever? I don't know. It wasn't even the best show of the past 12 months (that honor would go to the episode late last year where they fooled us all into thinking Batista finally turned on HHH. That swerve was great and there wasn't a bad segment on that show.) The presence of drunk Mae Young automatically knocks it down a notch for me. That was never funny, and it's been beaten into the dirt for 7 years.

Everyone. 99% of Iron Man Matches end in a draw, that's standard procedure. Actually, Benoit/Edge earlier this year is the only one I've ever seen that wasn't tied at least with a minute to go. Not just a WWE thing, either, the indies and Japanese promotions all book them the same way.

What in the hell happened to Steph? She was actually cute once. Now . . . just no.

Indeed. I think this may be the first time HHH ever used the Sledgehammer of Doom for the purpose for which it was designed.

Bischoff is so getting fired next week. I think I was one of the few people who noticed how they've been setting that up for months with his ego, horrible decisions, and irrational hatred of Cena (McMahon/Austin had a point, this never did).

throw in the big pop Kevin Von Eric got last night by being introduced and then later on with the iron claw on Rob Conway did it for me

I think he got the most unexpected reaction of the evening. Nobody guessed he'd be there. Sadly, he's the only major Von Erich wrestler alive today (real last name is Adkisson).

BTW, "WWE Raw" wound up with a 4.4 cable rating. I was certainally a part of that! :)

You got to love it when the Locker Rooms Clear...

Anytime you want wish RAW was still on after it goes off the air, it has been a successful night...

Great RAW

Did you notice the serious look on Kevin's face during Flair's intro? I think there is still bad blood there.

definately bad blood still there i do think that he was smirking while Flair got beat down by HHH ..

To this day, I still can't believe how Flair was able to defeat Kerry Von Erich for his 3rd NWA Title.

Rumor has it that he wasn't happy with Ric talking about Kerry's drug problem in his book.

I almost halfway expected Kevin to make the save for Flair beat-down, despite all the past Flair/Von Erich history. But I guess that would have spoiled re-establishing HHH as "The Game." And you can always count on Flair for a good classic crimson mask.

I didn't realize there was legit bad blood between Flair and Von Erich. I did hear that Flair didn't pull any punches in his book, though.
