WWE Raw delivered another 4.0 performance

For the third consecutive week,

Raw has delivered a 4.0 or better rating.

Credit to the USA Network Promo department

and the all of a sudden great writing from the WWE Raw staff.

And the fact they give away free matches on tv as well

but nonetheless they are doing much better at this time last year.

It's a shame that this good fortune will come to an end after

next week's show when it will be pre-empted due to

the Westminster Dog Show.

And for all of you TNA wrestling fans

There is an internet rumor that Impact may be

moving to Thursdays at 8pm to lead off UFC programming

beginning in April

The only way that will be good news for TNA is if they add another hour to the show. As for the ratings increase could it be due to being avalable in more homes now that their on USA and off Spike? The shows do not seem to be better written to me.

Putting TNA up against Survivor and Earl/Office pretty much guarantees that I'll be downloading it instead of watching it. Unless they do expand to two hours, which isn't happening right away since we get to see even more UFC reruns (I have the DVDs, I don't need to see these matches again, thank you), it won't work.

They need to kill the stupid storyline with Jarrett/Scott D'Amore/Gail Kim already. It's like a bad ripoff of Bret/HBK from '97 with a dash of ersatz Kane/Hardy/Edge/Lita and even the planted fans in the studio don't care.

Speaking of TNA...

I might be alone in saying this, but I don't think TNA should think about taking on the WWE directly anytime soon. They've definitely had some success in both product and ratings, but some wrestling sites (yes, I'm a geek) are speculating that they're on the way towards a Monday primetime slot. Too much, too soon.

The Saturday/Monday late night spots aren't ideal, but it's still exposure on basic cable...with which TNA needs to continue building on to warrant a better timeslot. And that future 'better' slot isn't necessarily Mondays vs. WWE Raw...it could be Friday or Saturday night primetime, with a replay during the week.

TNA has done an okay job establishing themselves as an alternative to the WWE...the AND 1 Mixtape of wrestling, you might say. But you don't see the Mixtape guys trying to challenge the NBA...I hope TNA doesn't jump into things too soon, I'd like for them to stick around.

Since it involves Jeff Jarrett, I'm having a hard time staying awake in the first place. <P ID="signature">______________
