Is leaving Sci Fi and going to USA NETWORK starting January.

So USA will now have both RAW and Smackdown. USA owns SciFi, so this is just a channel shift, but Smackdown really belongs OTA.

Actually SyFy and USA are just sister cable channels, both owned by the cable division of NBC Universal. The same with Bravo, Hallmark Channel and a few others. Anyways, this move was known a couple of months ago. I do agree that it would be nice to have WWE Smackdown! on "free" broadcast TV again though. The last taping I attended for this show was at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut in April 2010. The show was on MY at that point.

They are all owned by Comcast.

I should have written that they had the same corporate parent. My intent was to reflect that this change was not a change to a new corporate broadcaster.
