WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt, 36

this is the most shocking wrestling death in a while, this is up there with Jay Briscoe, Brodie Lee aka Luke Harper (who was in Bray's Wyatt Family stable), Chris Benoit (which as more shocking due to how he died and what he did before his death), Eddie Guererro, Owen Hart & Brian Pillman in terms of how shocking it was and that they were active on the roster of a company at the time of their deaths.

according to Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful.com who was passed the news of how Bray died from Bray's family, he died from a sudden heart attack as he was recovering from Covid19, so pretty much, the first active wrestler from WWE dying from Covid, it's a miracle it didn't happen in 2020 or 2021, during the height of Covid pre-vaccine/proper treatments.

but this is a deep and sad loss for WWE, i hope they throw the script and plans for tomorrow's episode of SmackDown out for a Bray Wyatt tribute show instead with no storyline progression, wrestlers doing matches as a tribute to him and do testimonials about Bray similar to how they did it with Owen, Eddie & unfortunately Benoit, it's been 16 years since a active WWE wrestler died while under WWE contract.
