WWFS was on my HD radio

I turned my HD radio to 102.7 and the readout said WWFS. Does this mean that the call letter change is a done deal? How long does it take for the legal paper work for a call letter change to take effect? It is possible that CBS applied for this change weeks ago.

By the way the esteemed Dr. Sniffen deleted this post from the NYRMB.

The RDS could read "CRAP" if they wanted it to. Has nothing at all to do with the official FCC call sign. 102.7 is still WNEW, same as it has been since 1992.

Given the quality of programming on WNEW over the past several years, the RDS should read "CRAP."

Just your opinion. Mix may not have killed in the ratings but that's not really because they were a bad station, just going after an already splintered audience/niche.

I'm also one of the apparently few who liked Blink. It certainly was different.

Ah, yes, which Blink...I liked both Blink I and Blink II, though Blink I was the one I felt was "different." I thought they were a pretty lively station and offered something different than what had been tried up until then. I could have lived without the constant entertainment news but I liked the "song tags" with a little bio of the artist they were playing, and there were plenty of "oh wow" selections...they could segue from The Doors to 50 Cent. Obviously though a majority of listeners didn't like it.

I thought the short-lived Blink II also sounded great as an AC.
