WWKL

Any chance of a format flip? Or move back to CHR?

Huge signal and their ratings suck in every market. It's a nice flank to WNNK and probably takes a bite out of WHKF (which seems to have found its groove) but ratings are in the toilet. Beat by XPN!

Cumulus has sadly thrown in the towel on this station. No air staff. Lame corporate promotions only. As big as the signal is, it shouldn't be a flanker.

Crazy how 106.7 has gone from total domination of the market as country Z-107 in the 80s to virtually invisible today.
Might as well go back to Kool 106-7 and take on AM's WPDC and WHYL (both supported by FM-translators). This
would overlap WSOX somewhat, but certainly WTPA and WQXA seem to do fine with their music overlap.

Some crazy ideas:
- Flip WSOX and WWKL - the Rythmic format might work better in York-Hanover without any competition and would be nice alongside WARM. Or even evolve it back to CHR
- Give WTPA the big 106.7 signal and move the Rythmic format to 93.5. I guess don't fix what isn't broken with 93.5 might apply here, but I think the WTPA loyal audience would move.
- Just outright flip to Classic Hits on 106.7. You're right, it would overlap with WSOX, though.

I'm OK with any of the changes suggested, although if 93.5 flops on 106.7, they've lost the growth from the rebirth of WTPA at 93.5 .
There's enough of us old folks in York-Lancaster-Hbg area where 70s-80s rock still resonates; unfortunately we're not the key demo group.

Must be someone at Cumulus corporate demanding that they locally clobber the Hot AC coming from iHeart's 99.3 and 96.9

Cumulus knows how to do Classic Hits. It's called WJJK, routinely #1 or #2 in Indianapolis. Why they let WWKL and WARM languish without a format tweak is puzzling......

I don’t see that happening anytime soon. CHR continues to be served by FM97 WLAN which does not appear in the Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle ratings.

IN 2025, you are not going to take a big signal station and put on 60s-70s oldies. The demo is way too old to sell. Its one thing for smaller stations like PDC and HYL to do it....what else are they going to do? But not a big signal on a radio station owned by a corporation.

Exactly what kind of format tweak would you suggest for WARM? With Fun 101.3 gone and now Happy 92.7 leaving, they have the AC format all to themselves .

It'd be a tough needle to thread with WNNK, WARM, and WSOX, but why not try a 90s/00s Adult Hits station similar to PopRocks on Sirius/XM? Have WSOX focus on the 70s/80s, WWKL on the 90s/00s, with WARM and WNNK doing their things combining yesterday and today.

I know they sort of tried this in the Mix/Channel era, but that was 13 years ago.

Still trending at a 2-share, just above WXPN relay in Harrisburg ratings. Would love to know how WWKL stacks up in Lancaster and York books, which are equi-distant from the tower.
