WWL-AM Stream Idea

I have a Windows Media stream going during the evening hours. However, due to bandwidth limitations, it is only available to friends who are not able to receive WWL over the air.
If there is anyone willing to help relay the stream and has the capability with Windows Server 2003, I'd be willing to help setup a network. One could also be setup using shoutcast/icecast2 if that would be easier for everyone to relay.

I found a stream of the combined stations of New Orleans. Seems like it's being operated by Clear Channel. I heard mention that it was being run by WWL, so it has to be the big combined effort.

If anyone can get WWL-AM, are they identifying as United Radio? That would be a good indication that they are a part of this network and then a stream would not be necessary.

The link is there on all of CC's New Orleans and Baton Rouge stations www.wnoe.com www.wyldfm.com , etc. They all link to the same WSKR stream address though.<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by jlehmann on 09/02/05 02:28 AM.</FONT></P>

The link is there on all of CC's New Orleans and Baton Rouge stations www.wnoe.com www.wyldfm.com , etc. They all link to the same WSKR stream address though.<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by jlehmann on 09/02/05 02:28 AM.</FONT></P>

Ditto on the offer. Local stations here in Florida are not running any information and we have hundreds of evacuees right here. Right now on over-the-air..sports and brokered preachers. Zilch info for the evacuees.<P ID="signature">______________

As the emergency communications get ramped up, it will be very useful to have folks relaying them. As things get busy, there will need to be different feeds for each frequency. I think that will be the direction we'll need people to go.
