WWL Laugh Of The Day

The announcer begins with "Here are *some* of the rules for playing the contests on WWL."

The next 60 seconds sounds like 5 pages of fine print being read like a gibberish car commercial disclaimer. A truckload of crap rules being read for 60 seconds at 5x normal speed. And don't forget, these are "some of the rules."

I advise everyone to consult their attorneys just to find out if they are eligible before entering a contest on WWL to try to win a free bucket of chicken.

I don't know if they still have it in rotation but one of the most creative contest disclaimers I ever heard was on WWL several years ago. One of their local production guys did it. It was in a New York/New Jersey Italian accent and said "forget about it" several times. Great stuff!

I've been looking around for that bit a number of years.
I heard it maybe 1994 or so on WLW, Cincinnati when I was working in the area.
I laughed until tears were rolling and my stomach hurt.

Agreed that the "fuhgetaboutit" contest rule spot was tops, though I could have sworn it was Jason G voicing it. Sounded like his hyperkinetic editing.
