WWL Spinning Out Of Control

Can you believe that, even for a day, WWL replaced the highly respected, knowledgeable and venerable New Orleans broadcasting icon Garland Robinette on his intelligent talk show today with...Tommy Tucker (who sang for his supper...la la la la la), a goofy disk jockey? And that's only one shift.

WWL better get control and pull themselves together with the lineup they choose to offer or they're in serious trouble with these clowns.

Phil Hoover's decision making was bad enough. Whoever this new confused manager is, he's even worse. Maybe WWL's time is past and it's time for it to go, with all the out of town stooges running it with worse and worse people on the air.

He couldn't have been any worse than Bob Mitchell as a talk show host....

Oh (BLEEP)! He's on again on Monday morning. I'm streaming from Michigan this morning, and it's disappointing to hear the continuing plunge into medicrity.

WWL keeps swirling further and further down the toilet. If this is the course they have chosen to continue, let's hope Entercom gets the hell out of here in 2006 and WWL gets bought by someone with a brain...unless that's a corporate oxymoron, in which case more and more people will gravitate to other sources of info (and there are *many* now) and WWL will ride off into the financial sunset. Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea if their idea of WWL-type image and programming is Tommy (singing for his supper) Tucker and Bob (the radio carnie) Mitchell.

I have a question for all those who continue to throw dirt on 870....who and what would you do to make it better?

Take those tow jerk-offs off the air. Don Dubuc does a fantastic job in the morning and Vinny doesn't need his carnival sidekick.
