WWL-TV & Cap: Really Bad Choice Of Wording

Blatant "ageism" at it's worse. You'd think WWL-TV would have more sense.
 
At least he did the story. Maybe some of Cap's "friends" will come out of the woodwork and offer him a little help. In the time I've had to get to know Cap I honestly believe if he had the help, he would pay each and every person back as soon as he could, going without any luxuries for himself. Apparently some believe that because of the looks of his clothes and house he should be rolling in money. Gee, at one time he could afford that stuff, should he sell his nice clothes and go to the thrift store so he can look poor? Same with the house. He spent every last penny to fix it so it would be liveable. Now I suppose he may have to entertain the idea of selling it for a fixer-upper. Oh wait - Cap does not really have the capability to fix up a house with his non-income and age. I'm just really mad because of the assumptions I hear on message boards . If he was a member of your family would you people be saying the things you have? Does he have to tell you every detail of his private life? There's more to the story but Cap should not have to get that personal on a message board for you to get the idea.

Rant over. I can't believe I said all of that. Y'all know how nice and quiet I usually am. Maybe I'm losing my mind, like most of the population of this area. Anyone want to keep my gun safe at their house for a while?
 
You're absolutely right, Beth. Cap has numerous friends but at this time they honestly don't know how to help! If people are going to get financially involved, they need to know where his head is at and where he plans to go. Cap needs to open up to his friends as to what he needs, and I'm sure they will respond. He's secretive by nature but if he wants help, we need to know what his plan is, what his present personal financial situation is, and what he needs. When he opens up with us I'm sure his friends will respond. But at the moment we have no idea what his goals would be, or what he needs to get there. He's quick with quips, which we enjoy, but now we need straight answers and a sold plan offered if he wants help.

It should be in private correspondence, not on this bulletin board, but if he doesn't level with us, there's nothing we can do as much as we'd like to.
 
If he really wants to stay in business, I hope he will confide in what he considers his friends so he can get help. Definitely not posting a plan on this board. Thank you for saying that.
