WWLC FM Cross City donated...

Non commercial FM WWLC 88.5 Cross City has been donated to the University of Florida. Application for license transfer was accepted for filing today. Speculation is 88.5 will rebroadcast WUFT FM.

Quick look up on fccinfo shows this station with about the smallest coverage contour a C1 can have. Is a tower height upgrade or tower move posssible?

It's directional to protect WMNF Tampa. I was told it can increase its antenna height, but cannot move any closer to Gainesville due to third adjacent WUFT. There are no existing towers of sufficient height WWLC can move to. And, it'll be costly to construct a new tower. So, to answer your question - yes, it's possible but at what cost?!
