WWLI Providence vs. WLTI Syracuse

I'm posting this on both boards. I noticed that Lite Rock 105 and Lite Rock 105.9 have the exact same website design, and are sister stations as well. I would like to know, which of these stations came first? I know that WWLI has had their own local nighttime show for years, while WLTI has Delilah. However, I have a feeling that Nite Lite with Art Spencer may be replaced with Delilah when he retires. Though I'm wondering, has anyone here listened to both stations? I wonder like do they use the same jingles or share the same playlist?

I believe WWLI's playlist is programmed locally. It isn't a national thing.Website design is understandable if they're both Citadel.I doubt Art Spencer is anywhere near retirement age although Citadel could decide it's time to eliminate that show in which case Delilah would be a logical replacement.I think WWLI started out in the early to mid 80s but am not sure. They replaced JB105.

Yes. WLTI is programmed locally by Citadel OM Tom Mitchel. WLTI started in 1996, after Pirate bought the signal from Salt City Com. Inc., so WWLI, obviously, was first. I don’t know about WWLI, but WLTI runs mostly syndicated affair: Bob and Sherry, Jayne, and Delilah, with Brian Phillips being the only local jock on from 4-7 PM.

I hope that helps you somewhat.

I believe WLTI Syracuse only changed names to Lite Rock 105.9 (from Lite 105.9) within the past couple years. They also use much different jingles than WWLI. Obviously it's common for stations with similar formats to use the same logos and website designs in different cities, just look at Clear Channel!
