Seems like this station has been off the air for quite some time, but noticed it's still on the FCC database. What's the story on this one? Remember it years ago (early 80's) as Country WEAK. If my memory serves me right, they had a bumper sticker that read....I'm a WEAK lover....Anyway, it was a pretty good little station.

all I know about Eddyville is...
my dad always thought I'd end up there as in involuntary resident.

It's for sale. I spoke with the owner in Jacksonville, FL. He wants 30K for the license. The studio are unlocked and nothing has been tampered with. The last date on the transmitter log is July 2004. No transmitter on site. The towers aren't in to bad of shape. If your intrested in buying it I can put you in touch with the current owner. 30K seems a little high for just a license. No property is included.

That begs the question...how long can you stay silent & not lose your license? 4+ years sounds a bit much to me.

That made me wonder also. He has not filed any ownership reports with the commission. I assume the FCC has no idea it's dark. The other problem is with the two 250 foot towers they are unlit. Some years ago a plane hit one of them and it killed both passengers on board. You would think the FAA would have a problem with that.
