WWME-CA Channel 23 Winter Schedule

Not much of a change. Seems they added "Diff'rent Strokes," "The Untouchables" dropped "Petticoat Junction," and one airing of "Mad About You," while shifting a bunch of others around. Interesting to see what cartoons they will run on Sunday at 11am

It looks like there's just one half-hour of "E/I" programming based on the printed schedule you scanned and posted.

But there is "The Homework Show", which probably also gets designated "E/I" and give WMNE-23 three hours of such programming a week.

It is programs from India, Greece, a lot of Polish shows. Most of the "ethnic" or "Speciality" shows have been moved over to Channel 48 another low power TV station owned by WCIU.

WCIU Channel 26 made it's start with ethnic shows.
______________

WWME-CA/23 is the kind of "Independent" station, viewers in Boston would DIE for. I've never seen such a more diverse and ENTERTAINING schedule than that of Channel 23's. WCIU/26 is nothing to sneeze at either. Weigel really knows how to super serve its' audience. Here in Boston, ALL of Boston's UHF'ers (former Indies) are basically network affiliates (The WB, UPN, Univision, Telemundo, Telefutura and PAX/i). We DO have a rimshotter indie from Derry, NH (WZMY/50, "MyTV") which still needs to get some more syndicated product to make a real difference, not that they AREN'T trying mind you, but it definitely is NOT another "ME-TV". You Chicagoans don't know how lucky you truly are with WCIU/26, WWME/23 and of course (the WB affiliate) "Chicago's Very Own WGN/9". I salute you Chicago!
______________
