and alot more than in Augusta as we continue to fall asleep with no change....( yawn ) ... :'(

I caught it around 7:00AM this morning. Wow! Amazing is the word. I love the liners and jingles, I'm shocked this will change the market for sure. I wonder if they will have jocks? It must be all music now to drive the format change. Great job!

Here's the time frame in case anyone is interested:

6/28/11 2:59:20 PM ET - The final song of The River format faded out (it was Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Her Strut).
6/28/11 2:59:27 PM ET - "WWNQ Forest Acres, Columbia. 15 hours until launch (beep). Tick-tock tick-tock......."

Similar announcements every 30 minutes until just before midnight. At 11:59:34 PM ET they went to dead air until 2:33:48 AM.

Then announcements continued to 6AM.

At 6 they started with the USC fight song, then into a 70 second long imaging station intro. First song was Rolling in the Deep by Adele. Yes.com did not catch that one for some reason, but more on the playlist here:

I too am wondering how long this will last and still contend that they should have stayed with their classic country format, and frankly it sounded pretty good.

Okay. I'm going to say it. Something doesn't seem right here. They register country domains and flip to CHR? If they are still CHR next week this time, I'll eat my words. But this doesn't feel right.

That is a classic move to throw people off thats why I think its the real deal. If its CHR still tomorrow its the deal forget a week.

I am reading these posts with interest. Let me throw this out. In regards to the comment that something seems suspect, at least in part, because they 'registered country domain names.' Format switches are not cheap so if this is a stunt, whether it's for a day or a week, it's a pretty expensive stunt probably more than registering some domains...

Having a guy do some liners and loading in a hundred songs in a computer is not expensive. There are no billboards or TV campaigns. In fact, it IS more expensive to register domain names than to change out your music.
