WWOR is pre-empting Veronica Mars for Fox State of the Union coverage!
This is the same coverage seen on WNYW!
Is this going on other Fox owned UPN stations?
______________

Yes, I read an AP story in the paper on Monday that said Fox mandated all its UPN-affiliated stations to carry their coverage of the speech, Democratic response, and whatever commentary/analysis followed. The story also quoted a UPN rep which said that impacted about 20% of the network's reach.

"Veronica Mars" is on UPN WEDNESDAYS :O

So I gather that Rupert Murdoch REALLY wants UPN off of his stations anyway he can, huh? Wow! :)
______________

It was a scheduled repeat of last Wednesday's episode. (Which stations also repurpose over the weekend). Thus, this was the third airing in a one-week span. Pre-empting for the SOTU was not that big a deal.

But it was, was a big deal, given the whole "CW" situation.

This has been a worthless thread

Fox has aired the State of the Union address on its UPN stations since buying Chris-Craft. And the pre-emption was scheduled LONG before the CW announcement. Move along, nothing to see here.
