WWOR to add Bounce TV as a subchannel

I just checked Bounce's website and the schedule looks very weak. Hopefully the network will grow as they continue to add affiliates. They should add some classic shows like Diff'rent strokes and Webster.

To make it onto to Starz! in Black, a movie just had to have one black actor, even if majority of the cast wasn't black. I'm not sure if Bounce would take that approach, but doing so would expand the number of possible classics significantly. So a show like 'Saved by the Bell' would fit using the Starz! approach.

WWOR has activated 9.3, PSIP indicates BOUNCE -- however the programming is the same as 9.1 and 9.2.

That must have just been a test. I just did a re-scan this morning and there is no 9.3 on the air.

9.3 has been on air the entire weekend with the same simulcast of 9.1. Other viewers have noted the same -- see avs forum.

That's wierd. Maybe it was off temporarily when I did my re-scan. Otherwise I see no reason my box wouldn't pick it up.

There could possibly be an issue -- since WWOR and WNYW still simulcast one another, 9.1 is RF channel 38, 9.2 is still WWOR but from WNYW's transmitter on RF 44, then back to RF 38 for 9.3. Some boxes might not accept that unusual channel lineup.

Anyway, just noticed that the website for Bounce does indicate that it is on in NY on 9.2, so who knows where it will actually land when the switch is flipped. I hope that sister station WNYW is also looking at adding a sub, namely MeTV. Also, rumor has it that WCBS is about to start programming 2.2 very shortly.

MeTV is already on WSAH in Bridgeport. I don't know if they are exclusive, though.
MeTV did post on their fb page that they are still trying to get into NY. I live in north eastern NYC, with a rooftop antenna and WSAH is impossible to tune in. Most of the cable systems don't carry it at all in the city.

WSAH is only carried on Verizon Fios and Directv in the NYC area. I heard they are also carried by RCN but they don't cover much of the area anyway.

Any idea when Bounce programming will start? The network's website has stated for several days now "WELCOME TO BOUNCE NEW YORK CITY."

We're waiting here in Los Angeles as well, and being that it's still Black History Month, it would have been ideal to have Bounce available by now. Fox is truly dragging its feet; as far as I know, when Bounce TV announced that they added stations in Washington and Atlanta (WUSA and WATL respectively), they were up and running within a couple of weeks. It's been about three months now since Bounce TV made the agreement with Fox.

WSAH is carried by Dish Network, DirecTV, Fios and RCN in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn.
