Power 105.1's signal has not been in HD since the end of April. This is roughly the same time that sister Clear Channel station WLTW HD2 dropped country music for a format to be announced on May 18.
I called Clear Channel to inquire about WWPR HD2. The person that spoke to me said there will be change coming, but said she could not give specifics, even though she had received quite a few calls. WWPR had been carrying CC's Mia channel, which is Spanish A/C. Off course New York has had a Spanish A/C station, WPAT FM for many years prior to the advent of HD radio.
Perhaps several of the local Clear Channel HD2's will be changed around, as happened a few years ago. I hope they will once again find a place for New York Country. Or maybe dance fans could get Club Phusion? I have no idea, but it is fun to speculate.
