WWPR 105.1 HD2 Switches to "Mia"

The HD2 had been playing urban Hispanic music without any dj's. It featured lots of reggaeton.
Now they are simulcasting Clear Channel's nationwide Mia format in its place. It has announcers and a nice mix of Latin pop music which resembles what is broadcast on WPAT FM. There is still an occasional reggaeton tune.
This continues Clear Channel's recent trend of putting their national formats on local HD2's, such as dance-oriented Pride on WKTU HD2, and Country Road on WLTW HD2.

The "national" Clear Channel formats are, IMHO, actually quite good. I don't speak Spanish, but I am sure Mia is no different.

I don't know that "Mia" is a nationwide format. The name is used on two Clear Channel stations, in West Palm Beach and in Tucson, which do not share the same playlist. Maybe this is the WPB station or something they are rolling out on HD2's / iHeart only?

I love the new 105.1 HD2 It is kind of like 93.1 but not AS soft, reggeton hre and there, the DJ I keep hearing is very good and adds more info then most between songs, ...AND he doesn't SCREAM at me with contest tickets :p or Rated R conversation. This is another station that I can leave on for a long time. I had no idea that it was called "Mia" but it is very good in my opinion.
