WWRM Magic 94.9

97.3 The Coast, Cox has an AC station in Miami with DJ's on a Saturday Night taking requests from callers. Not to mention a full air-staff of 8 DJ's. They also have a better playlist than Magic including a kick-butt Retro Weekend. Why can't Cox Tampa implement something like this on 94.9. It would be better than the music and DJ lineup they have now, which includes 9 hours of Delilah.  I mean Cox already has WDUV, which is essentially Miami's Easy 93.1. Why can't Cox keep all the softer musical selections to WDUV and morph Magic into something in-line with The Coast.

Good analysis, I agree. Magic sounding very good, much fresher, upbeat. I'd dump the Magic moniker, how about "Star", or something that implies more current, hip?

Doesn't Q105 have an all request show on Saturday?

I believe they do last time I had a listen. That hasn't been for a while though, usually listen to Sunny FM when I want 60's- 80's Pop music.

I believe the Coast uses jingles too. Although Cox has made some huge changes lately (WHPT, WPOI, new liners on WDUV), seems like the current line-up is inflexible. Even B98.5 in Atlanta got rid of Delilah
