WWSF am 1220 also on 102.3 fm

If I follow correctly, the translator was once in Biddeford when it was airing Christian programming, but now the transmitter is in Sanford, along with the AM?

Good to hear that the signal stretches that far.

Arbitron/Nielsen can say what it wants, but with a handful of close family members in the area, I feel like there's somewhat of an identity crisis in Southern York County... and perhaps always has been. Culturally, is Sanford in the Portland metro? Perhaps - especially in a political sense. But you'd find the area just as closely tied to the Seacoast region, and the tax-free status of New Hampshire seems to play a role in that. Just as many people seem to be listening to 98.7 WBYY and 97.5 WOKQ as listen to 94.9 WHOM. Add in the fact that 2, 4, 5, and 7 from Boston still appear on some cable systems, and it's almost a mix of three metro areas together.

Nice to see a new local station give the area a voice of its own.
