Do any of you remember the propagation conditions forecast in Morse Code on WWV? Did you ever hear a forecast better than N7 (_. _ _...)? The lowest I remember was 4 or 5, and I forget the other prefix letters.
Onliest permanent memory about WWV was from back when I used to enjoy taking apart our own radio station bumper stickers and resplicing them into other unlikely calls. As a result, for one summer I drove around with a WWV bumper sticker. 'Radio Time : WWV'
I was basically a CHU guy, though. Learned to count to 59 in French that way. : -)

I remember the WWV morse code, but I too preferred CHU. I remember recording a tape sometime in the early 60s of CHU giving the time, but I edited the tone and all you hear is each minute being announced each second. I may still have the tape somewhere.
