someone from greater media is being very funny.

> Is this significant?

yes, if you like stand-up comedy.

maybe you should rename it nyradio.blogspot.com.

As he said, it's an interesting tidbit on Infinity NEW YORK.

It might provides some insight as to what discussions are going on at Infinity...and what they might do with WBCN with BCN in Boston with the Severin issue on the plate.

Why didntcha just say that you posted this to try and start a rumor?

NO ONE, AND I REPEAT NO ONE, would just happen to think "Hey, I'll try 1041freefm.com and see what happens" So are you the one who actually registered the site and then posted about it in hopes to drum something up?

Infinity's never registered domain names through GoDaddy before, so it appears that it's just one of those "cyber-squatters".

However, if Infinity wanted to quietly get the 1041freefm.com domain without the press really noticing, buying 1041freefm.com through GoDaddy and leaving the 1041freefm.com "coming soon" page up would probably be the way to go.

Most likely, it's nothing, though.

I have heard from a birdy who happens to nest on Soldiers Field Road that Severin will end up on WBZ-AM weekday nights 8p-12a for Paul Sullivan.

Hmm, I must be no one then. I tried 1041freefm.com earlier this week. I am sure many others tried as well. I tried this after it was reported in the media/trades that Infinity has registered (insert freq)freefm.com for several of their stations/frequencies. It only makes sense to see if they registered it for any of their Boston freqs.

That just doesn't sound right...Boston is the ONLY market where Severin has a following. Jay's ego is so big, I can't imagine there isn't some wording in the syndie contract that priority placement is PM Drive...Granted, Bruds was #1 for many a moon post pm drive, but Severin, as good as he is, doesn't have the legacy/following that Bruds had after 20+ years here. Severin has only 6 years on the air here, and hasn't inspired the kind of loyalty that would enable him to make that slot as profitable as Bruds. He's just GOT to be in PM Drive... And he's too racy for daylight.

I just don't see him on 'BZ...AM.

Did you ever think to look at the whois database to see who registered it?

Re: Parked... by Greater Media

> > Is this significant?

No.

It's registered by Jeff Messerman. And according to http://www.wtkk.com/jobs.asp?p=yes&ID=3429, he works at Greater Media.

No story here.

This is off topic. The thread wasn't about what you think of Severus. It was about which station Severus will end up on, namely if it will be an FM talker owned by CBS.

I think we've heard enough about how much everyone hates Severus, and that kind of talk is just getting tired, imho.
