WWWQ Becomes Rock 100.5

At 6 AM on January 28th, 2008, WWWQ-FM stopped looping the "Radio Idol" contest liners, and began playing the sounds of a heartbeat. Seconds later, Rock 100.5 was launched with The Regular Guys Show, as predicted by several knowledgable sources last week. You can download and listen to the transition here:

Enjoy!

I'm surprised.
Usually a station that is switching runs non stop music for the first morning with ads letting people know the morning show starts the next day or something like that.

Well, it looks like Rock 100.5 and The Regular Guys were ready to go right away. I stopped recording at the first traffic report, as I didn't want to record an overly-long aircheck.
