wwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...KABOOM!!!!!!!

well..the #181 Arb bomb has gone off and KABOOM! looks like body parts every where with WJJR DROPPING to a pitiful 4th in the UV! Kudos to the now absent Z-97 crew for keeping the number consistent enough to make it #1. Interesting that the station the Gilligan Crew has been subliminally working to destroy is has become king...I wonder what will be the flagship station NOW at the Pamal Palace?

On a sad note...the group that was able to keep the consistent number for Z is all but gone now...do you think the number will hold?

Another intersting note...EVERY Pamal Rutland station has DROPPED...even Z. "Live by the book"...you know the rest...I wonder what excuses the Proffessor will be posting here? One can assume the low morale for the minions of the Great Houdini can only get lower...where will the blame be placed for the massive failure?

Now the drama begins again...what kind of panic has overcome the gang? I'm not sure...but...what's that I hear in the distance? Ahhh...TICK-TOC-TICK-TOCK?

Once again...congrats to the crew at Z...for what the "book" is worth...I hope some one can turn the good number into the thing that matters most...REVENUE.

NUFF SAID? CLASS DISMISSED? Time for a new teacher... :-*

How much do the numbers change in a market like Rutland? How many people complete diaries? I'd imagine things change a lot with a small sample base.

That's a pretty good point, Will. One that many of us have been trying to drive home to some on this board for quite some time now. In fact, this initial post I believe was meant to reinforce this idea, but some that are "MIXXed" (read: fixed) upon bragging rights to WJJR's being number one has suddenly found themselves some sour grapes. They posed themselves as being undefeatable, and used the Arbs as the sole guidance of their work when so many were telling them otherwise. This can either A) show them that the Arbs are not what they're cracked up to be, or B) show us that they actually are and either way the MIXXers will have to eat stone soup for awhile. :D

It's market #181. Arbitron diaries? Please, half of the diaries were probably filled out during a game of cow-plop bingo! So what's it cost to subscribe to the Arby's in market #181? Is there really that much National ad revenue still kicking around when it comes time to hit the small markets? With the economy the way it is right now every station in that market should be focusing on "Local Local Local". That's what made most of them and it's what can save some of them. Z should always be #1 rated station in that book. They truly cover the whole area. It's already been discussed adnauseum how dumb it was to pair these towns in the same rated market. Congrats to the phantom station that is Z these days.

It's funny how when you have a bad book...then the book "doesn't matter." Likewise, when you have a great book...you show everyone & tell them how awesome you are.

Like it or not, the book is what it is. Rutland County VT doesn't matter to NH listeners, and likewise Sullivan County NH doesn't matter to Rutland listeners. Oh well.

Congrats to these stations:
Z-97 - Goes to show - play the hits.
Kixx - with everything that's happened around it, Kixx stayed steady and did great. Good job Traci!
Oldies 104 - 3 book up-trend? Looks like it's back to where it was 2 years ago. Atta boy Doug.
99 Rock - wow - Heath - awesome. It must have something to do with that guy you have in the mornings - what's his name? Voice like velvet.
XL92 - finally picked up some women - probably stole them from JJR - opps - did you hear that, the ball dropped in Rutland.
WTSL - AM 1400 has the same ratings as 93.9 The Pulse with no staff, but better content (minus Glenn Beck of corse.)
The Notch - Hey, you...get out of our book. Ok - well, while you are here, way to rock the North Country.

I'm not gonna rag on those who did crappy. Hell, my 4 month old station didn't even place.

You can bet that the stations above (minus WTSL) have broken down the #'s even better to show an even more successful win. So yes, the book does matter...that is...it will matter once my station shows up...........

Steve
