WWZN 1510 broadcasting Spanish Red Sox games?

I heard that 1510 WWZN will now by carrying Spanish Red Sox baseball games with one of hour of Spanish pregame and one hour of Spanish postgame. With several games in the weekday afternoon hours, is this a move by 1510 to get back to sports? or is this a move for 1510 to go to a multicultural programming format? I know Blackstrap made the deal. I just wanted to know if they were switching formats again. Just wanted to know what everyone else heard.

What it likely means is that the SRS network ponied up the green stuff to buy the time. ;)

Just heard Santos make the announcement about it on the air but he said there would be an english pre game taking place from bar venues all over Boston.

Yup...this appears to be a new development today. The Spanish Beisbol Network website still lists 1150 as their Red Sox flagship.

Maybe Salem has leased the whole day out to the religious broadcasters?

At one time it was on 950 WROL, and when Baseball was on on Sunday afternoons I'd have to go to 1150 to get my Irish music.

Speaking of Sunday afternoons, as we are now getting into NASCAR's season, how are they going to handle Baseball and NASCAR if there is a conflict?
