WWZN to Start Broacasting World Cup Matches

Just heard that Blackstrap Broadcasting just made a deal to start broadcasting World Cup Matches on 1510 WWZN starting tomorrow morning (Friday June 25th) at 9 or 9:30. Anyone have any other news on this?

What language will they be in? Spanish, English, Portuguese or any other?

The games are only in English and Spanish in this Country. ESPN Radio is doing the games is English. Not sure what network is doing the games in Spanish.

This AM on Dennis and Callahan, Bob Neumeyer was sitting in for John Dennis and he was basically spouting the politically correct mantra, that we should embrace soccer because the rest of the world does. Lo and behold, one of WEEI's all-time worst callers, Steve from Fall River, called and made Neumie sound foolish. It was the first time I ever actually enjoyed a call from him. I'm sure that the next time he calls, I'll turn him off within ten seconds, but today he was right on.
