WXGL HD out?

Must be busted. I live within sight of the tower and it hasn't worked in a few weeks. Honestly, really not missing either the HD1 or HD2. Both stations SUCK.

What about the non-HD Radio people (everyone else)? Do they still get the FM signal (not the HD signal) with only one channel on that frequency?

To answer your original question, HD has no effect on the analog signal. The HD doesn't even need to use the same tower as the analog FM.

Although technically the FM and HD don't need to operate from the same tower, FCC Rules require HD to operate either from the same antenna as the HD or on a Licensed Auxiliary antenna no less than 70% the height of the Main antenna and within 1 second of Latitude and Longitude of the FM antenna. Cox Tampa has three stations running low level combining through the same transmitter into the main antenna and three running separate HD transmitters into separate antennas. WSUN-FM recently installed the very first water cooled, solid-state, FM transmitter, running both FM and HD through the same transmitter. Water cooling moves the heat load outside and reduces air conditioning cost. An Excellent transmitter.
