WXLO Off The Air

btw I notice some music stations which carry sports play by play are unable to do that online so they substitute music on the stream. WBOQ is one, which says "when the Red Sox are on 104.9, you can catch our good time favorites on our web site..."

I noticed something weird about the WXLO website today. The Listen Live icon at the top right hand corner of the page is gone. Luckily I had the stream bookmarked. Another way to get it is to look under WXLO DJ's. Could This Mean They Are No Longer Gonna Stream?

I don't think it's just the stream. I was flipping through stations this afternoon while running a quick errand and noticed that 104.5 was quiet.

I don't even listen to XLO or visit the website on a regular basis, but you're right, where there is usually the "listen live!" button there is just an empty space. when googled, the second page from the website is the listen live page.

I've Noticed That As Well Before It Used To Be One Of The Stronger Signals In My Area Pretty Close In Signal Strength As The Boston Signals. Now It Only Comes In When I Have My Walkman Set To DX.

At 10:30 last night I could get them in my car radio but they do seem weaker than normal, I got some static from them which I'm not used to, hopefully they're up 100% soon.

I Wonder What Happened Down There/quote]

Perhaps all the rain caused the power to go out at the Xmtr. If that was
the case, the stream from the studio would be unaffected, thus online
listeners wouldn't notice anything wrong. If they were voice tracked, that
would be one reason why no mention of a power problem. But, even if the
DJ were there, would there be any reason to tell the online listeners about
their on-air troubles?
