WXOJ-LP 103.3 Florence MA

Dude, so, like I was passing through the Northampton area today and instead of the distant signal of WODS
coming through on 103.3 I was pickin' up, like, this station with a live band. Neo-hippie, cool stuff; then they played Pearl Jam and even some old Hank Williams. No, his DAD, the one who died years ago. Anyway, these
guys rock my world and their politics are prob so far to the left that they'd consider Air America to be
conservative...but their signal is pretty decent, man.

I'll be at Six Flags Saturday and Sunday so I'll see if I can check it out...

Thought they ID-ed as Florence, MA, though radio-locator has them as "Northampton". I'm not from that part of the state, so let me ask: is Florence a part of No-hampton, or a sep town? However the station's site does say Florence

Florence IS absolutely a part of Northampton. It has it's own zip code, but it is governed by Northampton, the kids go to Northampton schools. There's another section of Northampton called Leeds that is adjacent to Florence. It, too, has a separate zip code. I have lived in downtown Northampton, Florence, and Leeds so I do know what I am talking about. WXOJ happens to be housed in an old school in Florence.

Transmitter and Tower are located at a private residence on Florence Rd. in Florence. I'm a neighbor and love when they light up the tower at Christmas time!
