I don't think so. It's a notch below 101.5 and 95.1, neither of which don't even come close to Q104.3.

XPK is a fine station. Don't confuse it with a Classic Rocker.

I agree with Ivan. Apples and oranges. A fine station that makes Q104.3 sound like its playing the same couple of songs. The Peak reminds me of what rock radio used to sound like. Personally I've had enough of Q's playlist for a lifetime.

Music Okay but ...

The music mix is different ... there's a Hartford station that does something similar (The River). I just have a very hard time with the jocks, voice imaging and liners. Your comments about Q104's playlist is valid (and true for most classic rockers, especially the Cumulus stuff), but the jocks at Q104 are several notches above The Peak.

To each his own ... I am glad you enjoy the station and you are probably not alone. That's what USED TO make radio great.

Personally i think the Peak is an amazing addition to the westchester/fairfield market. all the jocks know their suff and the music is great. Except that new night kid. He doesnt belong on a "world class rock" station. Sorry.
