WXPK 107.1 The Peak

I think the peak is such a great addition to westchester, and the jocks all seem to know their music. Chris Herrmann is doing a bang-up job over there with everything, but i can't help but cringe at the night guy Mike "The Kid" Batiste. This kid sounds like a college radio burnout. Anyone else with me on this?

The Peak rolls through all of Northern Westchester, Putnam, Rockland and into the south part of Orange County. It comes in great on the water front in Newburgh. The Peak is fantastic! The Kid knows his music and I think it translates on the air. The "college" burnout thing only adds to the charm of this hidden gem.

I'm in Mount Kisco and I work in White Plains, so I listen pretty much all the time. I also did about 28 years in the radio/music biz, so I can usually pin a donkey when I hear one. This "kid" is trash and doesnt belong on the Peak.

Congratulations on your 28 years in the business. I am glad The Peak is growing local talent and I am sure "the kid" is going to make it big. It's time for the next generation to learn to do radio the right way and there is no better place to learn than from Rob Arrow, Chris Hermann and Jimmy Fink.
