There was a lot of coverage on sister station WSCR yesterday, January 23, also.

Kudos to the powers at Audacy (especially Greg Solk) for allowing WXRT to go commercial free, drop the normal playlist and all imaging, and allow the memorializing and celebration of life to take place during Lin's normal on-air (1/23/2023) shift. Thanks especially to everyone that took part in planning and assembling this fine tribute. The music selections chosen and played during the special were appropriate and spot on (the Avett Bros. song really brought tears to my eyes). It really allowed many of us long time Lin listeners get to know Lin even a little bit better. It's so unfortunate that Chicago, the music industry, and the Cubs, have lost one of their biggest cheerleaders. It's amazing how one individual can touch so many people in their lifetime. We'll all miss you Lin.
