WXRV PD

From All Access:

ALL ACCESS ears in BEANTOWN hear NORTHEAST BROADCASTING AAA WXRV (THE RIVER)/BOSTON has made a decision on their PD opening ... and their choice is currently working across the street.

Stay tuned for the official announcement.

Who do you think it is? My guess, Mike Mullaney...

Didn't Mullaney already serve one stint at WXRV? I don't believe anyone who has ever worked for Silberberg would want to return to serve a second sentence under him. That also rules out Dana Marshall, who finally had enough of his browbeating after a year or two, which seems to be the most any sane person can stand!

Paul Jarvis?

It IS mike mullaney. OM and PD stipes. Good programming move for the River, who can finally develop and execute realistic AAA goals in the Boston market.

Pretty sure Mike was the MD under Joanne Doody, back when "the River" sounded amazing. Hopefully he'll bring it back to a trailblazing AAA it once was. Back then it was a "must listen" among my wide circle of acquaintances who normally didn't pay attention to radio.

That is if they let him do what he wants to do.

The River has the habit of hiring PD's.....and then Silverberg decides he wants to be a program director.

WHile I've come across many people who LOVE The River...it's got a crappy signal and is known to be a nuthouse where no one ever lasts.
