WXTU website...how to sell against them

Radio Websites struggle to be profitable. Why? Mainly because they’re still primarily seen as a programming and marketing platform….rather than a profit center.

As a former Radio guy, it pains me to highlight the lowly, www.WXTU.com site. This Beasley Broadcasting property is from a great country radio station in Philadelphia. Click here to see video: www.MelTaylorMedia.com .... on how Newspaper sales reps can easily take advantage of this Radio station's “advertiser un-friendly” web site.

Mel, I like your work and you have many of the same thought processes as I do concerning new media and old media. As a radio person myself, it's said to see what happened to the industry, but I am a realist to know the terrestrial radio industry is done, and I have been slowly but surely developing a new audio entertainment business for the digital age. Philadelphia radio has become as irrelevant as newspapers. I have been with the corporate folks from Beasley in Fla. As you clearly showed, they know nothing about how to run a radio website. Nothing.

Keep up the good work.

Yet Beasley doesn't appear to have their head in the sand when it comes to overall radio station operations, as opposed to the Clear Channels and the CBS's of the world...
