WXTU

Country ratings always go down in December. If you look at country ratings nationally this month, they're all down.

And since country has become a female-majority format, the impact of all-Christmas programming on competing stations can't be ignored.

On a side note, KKGO wasn't able to reverse the country trend this year, even though they played Christmas music for the third year in a row.

I don´t think their heart was in it this year.

I'm guessing that 2020 will be the year KKGO is sold... early 2020.

Does WXTU has a decent sized male audience

Country as a national format is 60% female. The men who listen are often either listening with their wives or girlfriends. A large percentage of songs are men singing how beautiful their women are. The active fan base, the ones who interact in social media, are mainly women.
