WXXI Public Media looking for new leader

Here's an idea! Maybe WXXI Public Media should take a page from the for "profit companies" playbook, save some big bucks and come to a joint agreement with Buffalo public radio to offer the eminently-qualified, Tom Calderone the job of overseeing both markets.

From what I've read, Mr. Silverstein did a great job of raising money and building a strong endowment for WXXI. Based on that, I sense there's no need to economize.

I think that there are a lot of people who would disagree with your assessment of Calderone's performance at WNYPB. The incessant begging for dollars is also one indication that he's not exactly setting the fundraising world on fire as well.
