This weekend, I was in ear shot of WXXM, Madison. I was surprised to find Spanish music programming on at night. I'm just wondering if they run a lot of brokered music, and if so, what are the hours? I find this interesting as this is quite a deviation from their Liberal Talk Format. Any info would be great. Thanks.

If memory serves me correctly, after the "hub-bub" last year - one of the line-up changes that followed was the Saturday evening Spanish-language music show, Sunday night might have been included as well. But I don't recall any music shows occurring during the week.

MADISON, Wis., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "Hello all you godless infidels, out-of-the-closet atheists and happy heathens!"
That line will greet listeners Saturday to the nation's first-ever national broadcast of a Freethought Radio program, when the Freedom From Religion Foundation's weekly show "from the secular point of view" out of Madison, Wis., will broadcast over Air America Radio for the first time.
The first guest on Freethought Radio's national debut Sat., Oct. 6 will be Christopher Hitchens, author of the bestselling book, God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything.
The hour-long program, hosted by Foundation co-presidents Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor, has been airing on Air America's Madison affiliate since April 2006 and podcasting from ffrf.org/radio/.
"This is radio for the rest of us," says Dan, who bills himself on the show as "your friendly neighborhood atheist."
"Freethought Radio offers irreverent views, news, music and interviews," adds Annie Laurie. The show includes a regular segment known as "Theocracy Alert," interviews and music.
Freethought Radio will broadcast Saturdays over WWRL 1600 AM New York City, and over XM Satellite, Channel 167 from 7-8 p.m. Eastern.
The growing list of other affiliates where Freethought Radio can be heard on Saturdays (1-2 p.m. Eastern) includes: Ann Arbor, Austin, Charlottesville, Va., Chicago, Eugene/Springfield, Ore., Huntington/Ashland, W. Va./Ky., Ithaca, Palm Springs, St. Louis, Mo., Reno, Sheridan, Wy., Taos, and Victory Valley, Calif.
Freethought Radio will continue to broadcast from 11 a.m. - noon Central over Madison's Progressive Talk The Mic 92.1, produced by Brian Turany, the Mic program director.
"You can turn on the radio or TV 24/7 to be preached at. This is one hour a week of the public airwaves that offers an alternative," Annie Laurie said.

Wow! Facinating! I guess I'm not surprised that they have a show, but I don't think I could stomach it personally. I know we are getting off the radio topic here, but what I will say is what the FFR fails to realize is that their crusade or mission to iliminate God in the public arena, is, in and of itself, a religion. They shove their point of view down our throats, in the same manner they find offensive. Rather, they should fight to have their symbolism next to ours, or given a platform at a publc event to offer a thought right after an invocation. In other words, they should be of the mind set to work together, and know that true tollerance is letting all points of view be expressed, whether you agree or disagree.
