WYAB 93.1 FM - Tower construction has begun

Hey everyone -

WYAB 93.1 FM is building out its CP over the next few days, which will result in *much* better Jackson coverage. The 400 foot tower had 80 feet complete as of today. Look for B93 to "flip on" at the new site on December 11th, provided that nothing goes drastically wrong. I'll try to find some pictures and send a link later in this post.

here are some photos from the WYAB construction site, the tower is a little more than half complete at this stage (260' in the photos). We should be up and running within 10 days from the new place.

Where did you say the tower is being constructed? I thought you said something about it being close to Bentonia, but I wasn't sure. Can't wait for the upgrade to happen. I'm less than a ten-minute drive from the studio, but the signal is scratchy inside the house. It's OK in the car.

The new site is 6 miles east of Bentonia and 12 miles west-northwest of Canton, with an official address of 55 Higgins Road, Bentonia, MS.
