WYAK Myrtle Beach changes?

First off, let me say I have been reading these boards, especially South Carolina for months now and finally decided to get on.

I was on WYAK's website (www.kcountry103.net) and they say there will be significant changes on Thursday the 14th to their station, and nothing like this has been done before in radio.

Any clue what it could be?

I can't see them getting out of the format - sure Gator kills them, but to just relinquish the format to one station is silly. Plus, Cumulus thinks they know how to program country stations.

Nationwide, Cumulus has moved towards a recurrent/gold based playlist, with half as many currents as they had this time last year. I think maybe a "Hank" style format may be in the offing?
