What a great station playing rarely heard 50's music when I vacationed in NewOrleans, next I heard it changed formats, what a loss, reminds me of another great New Orleans station I received while riding to Florida every December with my parents, what a dynamite station, WNOE in the 50's. Couldn't receive in central Illinois. What happened to Dr. Brock, who had a short stay at WCFL in Chicago? Guess he was too good for the Chicago market. Remember he said "this is Dr. Bockaree". Exciting AM radio. Can someone fill me in?
 
Unfortunately times change. WYAT was great for a daytime 250 watter, but ownership changes with a power increase has 990 as a talk station. 1060am WNOE met a sad ending. Clear Channel sold the station, and has now fallen to forgotten station purgatory as a religous broadcasternow called WLNO.
 
Grady Brock was in Baton Rouge the last time I heard from him, he was applying at a radio station in Alexandria when I worked there, he used to work on KSYL-AM in Alexandria.
