Are my ears going or is Imus basically incomprehensible?

I have never heard Imus before but what you described here is actually what I heard also. What is the draw for someone like this ?

In a lot of ways, this reminds me of the old WWID, and the Old WFOX of the 70's.

I liked Wide 107 and Fox back in the late 70s/early 80s, before they moved in. Much broader playlists than Z-93 and also played a lot more hits that were several months old and not current. Only problem is you had to sorta-DX them with a good antenna or a hacked radio if you were close to the perimeter, before they moved in. Also, you could get AT40 at more convenient times than Z-93.
