With the departure of PD Kit Carson, WYCL (My 107.3, Pensacola) has dropped a local morning show and is now airing Murphy Sam and Jodi. So now they are almost all VT all the time... Middays with Madison is VT from Birmingham, and I think the afternoon drive is live with CJ Whitmore... evenings and weekends are all VT. Wow... My Voicetrack! What a great opportunity for WMEZ (Soft Rock 94.1) to get their stick back up to full power and blow MY away!

Re: WYCL Voicetrack

One of the strong features of the station was the morning show, they talked about local news, events, and people. I don't mind hearing the rest of the day VT'D (I know they are using personalities from TK101 on the station) But at least they can talk about local events. Save money.. sure, but keep mornings local.I predict what you will save in talent, you will lose in ratings. Many have tried syndicated morning shows. (with the execption of John Boy, L&T, Tom Joyner etc) and they don't last for long. Let see what the next book says. I could be wrong...

Well, if you're Kit's bro, that makes you and me bros. Quite literally.

But, I ain't Kit.

Well I hope he ends up with a pimped-out OM job somewhere. I would go to work for him, that's for sure.
