WYCM-FM "MAX" Radio is no more - New Group taking over

According to their website, "MAX FM and Christian Mix Radio Inc., will no longer be responsible for the operation of 90.1 FM." They are located in Charlton in Central Massachusetts and throws a fairly decent signal out. I can pick them up in most sections of Worcester fairly well.

IIRC, this is the same group that formerly owned WNEB-AM 1230 in Worcester programming Christian Contemporary music before they bought the FM station and sold WNEB.

The announcement goes on to state, "In an effort to preserve and improve this Christian radio ministry, WYCM is transitioning the station over to a new group. We have partnered with Epic Light Network, Inc. who is now running 90.1 FM as WLQQ."

However, I listened this morning and they were still IDing as WYCM "MAX FM".

The new station will be rebranded as the Q90.1 but their website is under construction. It does mention that a new WYQQ Morning Show launches on Monday, December 3rd @ 7 a.m. Not sure why the call letters mentioned in the announcement and the ones on the website are different.

The new calls are actually WYQQ. The station was sold to Epic Light Network of Southwick for $500 bucks. Not bad!
