WYDD/WKPA Studios being torn down

I was driving throught New Kensington yesterday and the "Cooper Music Building" where Johnny Costa took music leasons and the world headquarters for Nelson Goldberg's WKPA and WYDD and TV3 are being torn down.

I helped wire up the studios for the "Pure Energy" experiment. That place should have been used for nuclear testing.

Ditto. When I was GM there in the final days, I got a dish antenna put on the roof to receive syndicated talk and news programming. I wasn't completely sure if the roof would hold it, having had the roof patched over layers and layers and layers of dead pigeons over the years.

I always heard that Nelson occasionally set fires in the place to collect insurance. It was a sewer in 1978; I can't believe it's still standing.
