WYDN-TV 48, WORCESTER

Has WYDN started broadcasting in HDTV yet? Where's its transmitter and how much ERP does it have? Where's the signal coverage area?

Their digital is on the FM128 stick in Newton, and the antenna IS there and there have been reception reports of the station.

The analog is up on Asnebumkit Hill in Paxton.

They are licensed for DTV, don't know if they're broadcasting in HD or not. 365 kW ERP, 217 m (712 ft) HAAT. Transmitter location and grade-B coverage.

And yes, they are a religious station. Daystar, specifically.

They must not be running their full power yet or something. I'm within that coverage area, and I've never seen a trace of the DTV signal.

Possibly, although I'm quite close to the major Phoenix antenna farm, and well within range of all of the signals from there, yet there is one Class A station that I cannot receive, yet when I go to other parts of the city, it's clear. And there are no mountains between the tower and my home. Funny how that works.
