WYEA to get an FM

I saw this on WYEA's Facebook page about the station being approved on June 29 for an FM. I imagine this is some sort of FM translator. The only FM translator I'm aware of in Sylacauga is Family Radio's at 94.1 (W231BN). Anybody know more about it? Here's the link to their Facebook page:

That station at 94.1 FM is a relay of WLBF Faith Radio from Montgomery.

If your info is accurate, then this will be a good thing for that community and their listeners.

P.S. Then again it might be that 105.1 FM permit for the Rockford area.  That same company has a permit to build a station there.  For all the details visit: http://cdbs.recnet.net:8080/fmq.php?facid=190442

Thanks for correcting that for me, RDP. Somehow in my mind "Faith Radio" became "Family Radio", lol. Guess it's the time of day...or rather, night...or maybe I'm just getting "old". ;)

I didn't think it was the translator at 94.1 since Faith Radio has a translator licensed to Alexander City at 94.1 also. Faith Radio had been using both of those translators to rebroadcast WLBF. I drove through the area a couple of years ago and listened to 94.1 all the way from Sylacauga to Alexander City. Worked really well because I couldn't tell when I changed over from one of the translators to the next; it was pretty seamless.

Interesting. Thanks for the tip on this.

There's a translator (W286AQ) on 105.1 that's currently licensed to, ahem, Northport, but actually licensed to a site near Weogulfka and with a CP to move closer to Alex City. The app behind that CP is right in Alex City proper and the parent station is WBNM. I assume it'll be changing frequencies before the class A app goes on.
