WYLDE is RIGHT for Tulsa.

I have done nights at K-Hits and know how hard its been to get something cooking there in morning drive. I listened to the new morning show for the first time this morning online and was very impressed. Here's why...

I didn't hear a lot of meaningless show prep service crap. What I did hear was real, relatable, compelling, radio. They told a story about their trip to the lake over the weekend. I felt like I was there. Scotty got engaged over the weekend, and had me glued to the radio while giving the details. I haven't met these people, and somewhat feel like I know them after one listen. That wins. Not listeners, but a radio family.

I also noticed chime in's from Lunchbox like I haven't heard before. Lunchbox is no jock, he's a real personality, and surrounded by two other personalties now which is good. I heard killer chemistry. Not just the usual "totally," after a pukey show prep service read from Tessa. LB's lasted thru it all for a reason. He's real.

Here's how WYLDE will screw the BMMS...

Most 18-34 women in Tulsa don't go out in a mini skirt to sing karoke 7 nights a week. They don't want to be a waitress and drive a 92 Honda Civic the rest of their lives. Don't be offended if you like the BMMS, cause they are talented, and have created a huge niche with Tulsa's blue collar 18-34 crowd. BUT....

For the most part Tulsa 18-34 women...

Finishing high school and a member of every freakin extra curricular activity doing anything and everything to get into a big college, join a cool sorority, and enter the next phase of life.

Just married

Bought the first house (and love talking about it)

If lucky, might find a baby sitter for Saturday night. They go out, have a nice dinner, a few drinks, but always home by midnight and at church bright and early the next morning.

They love Justin Timberlake...they also love Kenny Chesney.

They're MySpace pages have more pictures of their kids than them.

They work hard, do well, and play hard occasionally.

They dont go to "da clubs," nor associate with that crowd.

They have a lot of real true friends just like them.

That group is the majority and has been neglected in the morning from both The Beat and K-Hits. Both stations have targeted "da club," scene way too much and not the "life," scene. The Wylde Wake-Up Show done how I heard it otherday will connect amazingly with this left out majority.

There's my take on it.

I think you are wrong. The new KHITS morning show is just like Mix 96. I was looking forward to the new show but it is no good. I hate to say it but right now nothing can stop The Big Mad Morning Show.

I'm in the middle leaning towards Goob. It is a much much better show than what K-hits has put on for a while. I know it's new and will get better, I assume. The bmms is obviously talented and has wrapped their arms around a sizable listener base. I think these two shows will have different audiences, they are nothing alike, IMHO.

The question is, can CC make money with the BMMS? I listen and hear few real advertisers, seems like the same ones over and over. The content has to be hard to stomoch for some local spenders.
